Is proposing over a link a real proposal?
It is if the words are real. Plenty of couples are separated by work, study or visa timelines, and postponing an engagement until a flight is affordable is admin rather than romance. Many people use the link as the moment itself on a video call; others send it alongside an in-person proposal so there is something to keep afterwards.
What should I write in it?
Three things are enough: when you knew — one specific moment with real details in it — what they changed in you, and what you are promising. Then ask plainly and stop. Specific always beats poetic, because a poetic line could have been sent to anyone.
Can I use it on a video call?
Yes, and it is the most common way it is used long-distance. You send the link while you are both on camera and watch their face as they tap through it. It also solves the hardest part of a call proposal, which is that there is otherwise nothing to do with your hands.
Can I add our photos?
Yes — you can add several photos or GIFs, which appear through the experience. Candid photos work considerably better than posed ones here.
Will I know when they open it?

Does the person receiving it need an app or an account?
No. They tap the link and it opens straight in their phone browser — no app to install, no signup, no login. That is deliberate: anything requiring an install does not get opened.

How long does the link last?
Permanently. It does not expire, so they can reopen it years later. That is usually the point — a message in a chat thread is buried by the evening.
Can I schedule it to arrive at a specific time?
Yes. You can schedule the gift to unlock at a particular moment — midnight on the day, or the right hour in their timezone if they are in another country.
