How to write your own in two lines

Any wish you write yourself will land harder than the best line on this page, and it does not take long. Two sentences:

• One specific memory — not “all our memories”, but one real thing that happened. “The night we walked home from the station in the rain.”
• One thing they do that you value — named plainly. “You are the only person who tells me the truth.”

That is it. Specific detail is the entire difference between a message they scroll past and one they screenshot.

Make the wish something they open

If you want it to last longer than a chat thread, send it as an interactive birthday card — a link with balloons, a candle they blow out themselves, your photos and your message at the end. It takes about a minute, they open it straight in their browser, and it does not disappear up the scroll by evening.
